For Students:

Advanced Engineering Mathematics with Maple is the essential companion for all your mathematics courses, including ODEs, PDEs, Vector Calculus, Matrix Algebra, Complex Variables, Numerical Methods and Calculus of Variations. With its explanations, modifiable examples, and exercises, this single book helps you learn and solve problems faster, and it can continue to serve as a reference once the courses are over. A Student Manual that contains full solutions to many exercises in the book is available.

For Instructors:

This book was created for and used in the author’s classes, so its materials have been class-tested at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology; it is suitable for use in the classroom. An instructor manual with solutions to all exercises is available. For details on adopting this textbook, contact Maplesoft.

"The level of mathematical rigor in the Advanced Engineering Math e-book is perfect for a text entitled "engineering" math. Dr. Robert Lopez provides appropriate introductions to each topic along with useful references, then the text goes into details of each topic very quickly. One of the best features of the book is that mathematical techniques are explored "by hand" before the powerful tools available in Maple are illustrated. My appreciation for the fabulous tool that Maple embodies has been firmly renewed.

The exercises labeled as "Part A " are clearly chosen to guide readers to the level of mathematical rigor or elegance they might desire, frequently highlighting opportunities to verify details of the development in the associated text section. The "Part B" exercises offer practice in applying the principles presented in the chapter as well suggestions for explorations beyond those techniques. I feel like a child entering a playground with all kinds of well-constructed fun-exercise equipment! I can't even imagine the impact that Maple must be having on mathematics instruction. The fundamentals remain the same, but the vista with tools like Maple must be breathtaking."
